XYLEM SOLAR INITIATIVE – ASIA PACIFIC PROGRAMME
Xylem is a leading global water technology company with over 100 years of history focussed on solving the world’s most pressing water challenges. As part of its global initiative to deliver efficient water distribution and treatment, Xylem also recognised the need to invest in sustainable energy usage, and has rolled out solar solutions at many of its facilities in the Asia Pacific region, including Australia.
In 2015 Easily Green, a premium renewable energy partner of Solar+Solutions, and accredited CEC solar design and installation business, were engaged to design and project manage the implementation of a 100kW solution at Xylem’s site at Eastern Creek in western Sydney.
Solar+ Solutions were engaged for the procurement of panels, inverters and racking, and worked with Easily Green to support the logistics, security and WHS issues at the site to the satisfaction of Xylem’s Operations Manager so as not to interfere with daily operations.
The work on site was completed inside 2 weeks with compliments to the team on their communication with site staff, professional work practices and the aesthetically pleasing result.

STONECUTTERS RIDGE GOLF CLUB SOLAR INITIATIVE
Stonecutters Ridge is Sydney’s first Greg Norman designed golf course and opened in 2012. It has been the host of the NSW Open in 2014, 2015 & 2016 and has rapidly established itself as a premier golfing destination.
While the club realised that it had a considerable energy spend it also recognised that it had a responsibility to implement sustainable practices where commercially viable and investigated the possibility of solar.
The concept of a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) was put to the club and they quickly realised that they could achieve an immediate benefit in power costs with no upfront outlay in capital by the club. The 100kW solution has been installed to cover energy needs in both the maintenance facilities and the clubhouse, maximising utilisation of the solution.
In 2015 Easily Green, a premium renewable energy partner of Solar+Solutions, and accredited CEC solar design and installation business, were engaged to design and project manage the implementation of the solution.
Solar+ Solutions were engaged for the procurement of panels, inverters and racking, and worked with Easily Green to support the logistics, security and WHS issues at the site to the satisfaction of Stonecutters Ridge green-keeping and operations staff so as not to interfere with daily preparation and use of the facilities by golfers and the aesthetics of the solution when viewed from the 18th green. The work on site was completed inside 2 weeks with compliments to the team on their communication with site staff, professional work practices and the aesthetically pleasing result.
